On-site night shift lead for a 74,000 square foot Persistent Threat Detection System tethered aerostat equipped with a high resolution EO/IR payload integrated with an existing acoustics system that cues the aerostat cameras to provide virtually real-time eyes on target.  PTDS also provides a persistent surveillance and Full Motion Video dissemination capability allowing quick reaction forces to find, fix, track, target, and engage threats to US and coalition forces. 

·                      Packed up three crashed aerostats and assembled three new ones. Recovered aerostats under difficult weather conditions.

·                      Monitored weather and made appropriate recommendations/decisions while in direct communication with the US Military.

·                      Troubleshot electrical and/or mechanical subsystems of aerostat and other equipment.

·                      Performed modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with customer specifications.

·                      Performed eye splices of the tether and fiber splices.

·                      Enabled helium charging with the flow meter, purge the helium hose, prepared the helium trailer/container, recorded helium usage in ODIMS, and measured helium purity using a gas analyzer
